07Health, Behavior & Safety
- Spay / neuter is not required. Intact dogs are welcome at any age — just let us know at booking so we can plan playgroups appropriately.
- Tell us about your dog upfront. If your pup has any history of reactivity, resource guarding, anxiety, or difficulty around other dogs, share it with us when you book. We accommodate dogs who need a calmer setting with individualized one-on-one care away from the pack — at no extra charge.
- Illness. If your pup arrives showing signs of illness (kennel cough, diarrhea, vomiting), we may ask you to reschedule — for their sake and the rest of the pack's.
- Flea & tick. All dogs must be on a current flea/tick preventative.

See photo policy →The full legally binding agreement governing all Services. By booking with Pawmenities, you agree to the terms below.
This Pet Services Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between Pawmenities, LLC ("the Facility") and the undersigned pet owner ("Pet Owner" or "You"), collectively referred to as "the Parties."
This Agreement governs the terms and conditions for all boarding, daycare, grooming, and other pet-related services (collectively, "Services") provided by the Facility for the dog(s) listed on the Pet Owner's account ("Pet" or "Pets"). This is a legally binding contract.
01Acknowledgment of Risk and Communal Environment
The Pet Owner understands that Pawmenities is a communal, multi-dog facility where Pets may interact in off-leash playgroups. The Pet Owner acknowledges that animals of varying sizes, breeds, temperaments, and health conditions will be present.
Despite all reasonable efforts, supervision, and facility design, the Pet Owner accepts that certain risks are inherent in a multi-pet environment. These risks include, but are not limited to:
- Injury. Scratches, bites, sprains, or other injuries inflicted by other Pets or through self-inflicted accidents during play.
- Illness. Exposure to and transmission of communicable diseases or parasites (e.g., Canine Papilloma Virus, Giardia, "Kennel Cough"), even when Pets are vaccinated.
- Stress. Changes in behavior, loss of appetite, or stress-related conditions (e.g., colitis) due to a new environment.
- Unpredictable behavior. Dogs can display unpredictable behavior. A Pet that is non-aggressive at home may exhibit different behaviors in a new environment, which could result in harm to themselves, other Pets, or Facility staff.
02Pet Owner's Representations and Warranties
The Pet Owner represents and warrants to the Facility that:
- 2.1 Health & Vaccination. The Pet is in good general health and free from any known communicable diseases. All required vaccinations (e.g., Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP) are current, and verifiable proof has been provided to the Facility.
- 2.2 Behavioral History. The Pet Owner has fully and accurately disclosed all relevant behavioral concerns, special care requirements, and medical history.
- 2.3 Concealment. The Pet Owner understands that failure to disclose any material information, particularly regarding health or aggression, may result in the Pet's immediate removal from the Facility at the Pet Owner's expense.
- 2.4 Parasite Prevention. The Pet is on a current flea, tick, and intestinal parasite prevention program.
- 2.5 Recent Exposure. The Pet has not been exposed to any known case of canine infectious disease (kennel cough, parvovirus, canine influenza, etc.) within thirty (30) days prior to the Services.
03Release of Liability and Indemnification
3.1 Release. Except for claims arising from Pawmenities' gross negligence, willful misconduct, or intentional acts, the Pet Owner hereby waives and releases Pawmenities, its owners, employees, officers, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) of any kind for any injury, illness, loss, escape, or damage to the Pet, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, arising from or related to the Pet's stay, Services, or presence at the Facility, including without limitation the inherent risks described in Section 1.
3.2 Indemnification. The Pet Owner agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pawmenities and its owners, employees, officers, and agents from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to: (a) the Pet's behavior, including bites, scratches, or property damage caused by the Pet; (b) any injury or damage caused by the Pet to other animals, persons, or property; (c) any communicable disease the Pet may transmit to other Pets or to humans; and (d) any material misrepresentation or omission by the Pet Owner under Section 2.
04Veterinary Authorization and Medical Care
(a) In the event the Pet requires medical attention, Pawmenities will make reasonable efforts to contact the Pet Owner or designated Emergency Contact.
(b) If the Pet Owner and Emergency Contact cannot be reached within a reasonable time given the circumstances, or if the situation is deemed urgent by Facility staff in their sole discretion, the Pet Owner authorizes Pawmenities to seek veterinary care at a licensed veterinarian of Pawmenities' choice, with preference where reasonable to the Pet Owner's preferred veterinarian on file and otherwise the nearest qualified veterinary facility.
(c) Pawmenities will not authorize elective procedures, surgery (other than emergency stabilization), or euthanasia without Pet Owner consent except where required by a licensed veterinarian to prevent serious suffering.
(d) The Pet Owner agrees to reimburse Pawmenities for all veterinary expenses, transportation costs, and reasonable administrative costs incurred on the Pet's behalf within ten (10) business days of receipt of invoice. Unpaid balances accrue interest at 1.5% per month or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is less.
05Facility Policies and Financial Responsibility
(a) The Pet Owner acknowledges receipt of, has read, and agrees to comply with all then-current policies, procedures, rate schedules, and rules of Pawmenities (collectively, "Facility Policies"), available at https://clients.pawmenities.com/client-portal and incorporated into this Agreement by reference.
(b) Pawmenities may update Facility Policies from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email on file at least fourteen (14) days before taking effect, except where shorter notice is required for health, safety, or regulatory reasons.
(c) Financial Responsibility. The Pet Owner is responsible for full payment of all charges for Services, including any additional charges for late pickup, medication administration, special handling, or veterinary care. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments accrue interest at 1.5% per month. The Pet Owner authorizes Pawmenities to charge the payment method on file for any amounts due, including late fees and reimbursable expenses.
06Media Use and Promotion
The Pet Owner grants Pawmenities a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable, non-exclusive license to photograph, video, audio-record, and otherwise reproduce the Pet (and any incidental capture of the Pet Owner or designated agents present at the Facility) and to use such recordings and the Pet's name and likeness in any and all media, now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose, including without limitation marketing, advertising, social media, promotional materials, and commercial use, without notice, compensation, or further approval. The Pet Owner waives any right to inspect or approve the finished product.
07Refusal of Service, Removal, and Pet Abandonment
(a) Refusal and Removal. Pawmenities reserves the right to refuse service to, or to require the immediate removal of, any Pet for any reason in Pawmenities' sole discretion, including aggressive behavior, uncontrolled anxiety, illness, contagious condition, or non-compliance with Facility Policies. The Pet Owner is responsible for promptly retrieving the Pet upon notice and remains responsible for all charges incurred through the date of removal.
(b) Late Pickup. Pets not picked up by the scheduled time and date will be charged a late-pickup fee per the then-current Facility Policies and treated as a continued boarding stay at standard rates.
(c) Abandonment. A Pet will be deemed abandoned if (i) the Pet Owner fails to retrieve the Pet within seventy-two (72) hours after the scheduled pickup time and Pawmenities has been unable to reach the Pet Owner or Emergency Contact despite reasonable efforts; or (ii) the Pet Owner expressly relinquishes the Pet. Upon abandonment, the Pet Owner authorizes Pawmenities, at Pawmenities' sole discretion, to (A) continue to care for the Pet at the Pet Owner's expense; (B) transfer the Pet to a licensed animal shelter, rescue organization, or new owner; or (C) take any other lawful action consistent with Massachusetts law, including M.G.L. ch. 140, § 174D (boarding kennel provisions). The Pet Owner remains responsible for all accrued charges, boarding costs through the date of transfer, and any costs of transfer or rehoming, and forfeits all claims to the Pet upon abandonment. Pawmenities' exercise of these rights does not constitute conversion or wrongful disposition.
8.1 Governing Law and Venue. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of laws principles. The Parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Suffolk County or Essex County, Massachusetts for any dispute arising from this Agreement.
8.2 Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to be enforceable.
8.3 Entire Agreement. This Agreement, together with the Facility Policies, constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties with respect to the Services and supersedes all prior agreements, representations, or understandings, written or oral.
8.4 Amendment. Pawmenities may update this Agreement from time to time. The Pet Owner's continued use of the Services after notice of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
8.5 Waiver. No failure or delay by Pawmenities in enforcing any right under this Agreement constitutes a waiver of that right.
8.6 Force Majeure. Pawmenities will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, severe weather, fire, pandemic, government action, utility failure, or labor disruption. In such an event, Pawmenities will use reasonable efforts to safeguard Pets in its care.
8.7 Survival. Sections 3 (Release and Indemnification), 4 (Veterinary Reimbursement), 5(c) (Financial Responsibility), 6 (Media Use), 7(c) (Abandonment), and 8 (General Provisions) survive the termination or expiration of this Agreement.
8.8 Electronic Execution. The Parties agree that this Agreement may be executed electronically and that the Pet Owner's electronic acceptance (including by checking an acceptance box, clicking "Submit Request," submitting a booking, or providing an electronic signature) constitutes a binding signature.
09Confirmation and Execution
By checking the "I have read and accept" box and clicking "Submit Request," the Pet Owner: (a) confirms they are at least eighteen (18) years of age and the legal owner or authorized agent of the Pet(s); (b) acknowledges they have read, understand, and agree to be legally bound by this Agreement and the Facility Policies; and (c) consents to the use of electronic signatures and records under the federal E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001 et seq.) and the Massachusetts Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, M.G.L. ch. 110G. Pawmenities will retain an electronic record of acceptance, including the date, time, and IP address of submission, and the version of this Agreement accepted.
